Our thrilling journey to Pacaya Volcano begins in either Guatemala City or Antigua, both just 40 km (25 miles) away from the park. The ascent takes approximately one hour and can be completed on foot or horseback, offering an unforgettable experience.
Pacaya Volcano offers breathtaking views as part of a diverse volcanic complex featuring cones, craters, hills, and a lagoon that provides vital water to over 14 communities.
The volcano is located 50 km (30 miles) from Guatemala City or Antigua. The ascend is approximately about 1 hour and can be done on foot or by horse. If you don’t wish to hike the volcano, you can visit the outskirts of it and enjoy the incredible views.

The Pacaya Volcano is one of the 3 active volcanos in Guatemala, it has a height of 2,500 meters (8,200ft). The weather is pleasant and can be hiked in shorts or jeans, it is recommended to take a jacket and sneakers.

After the hike, it is possible to relax in a Spa with hot springs from the volcano.
